Technical Sales Engineer/Director, Water Meters

BCMS is a leading global distributor for smart electricity and water metering products in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. The company has been growing exponentially and has recently designed its own family of smart ultrasonic water meters. With an ambitious plan to expend its business to the US, BCMS is looking to hire a Technical Sales Engineer/Director who will be capable of evaluating its newly designed smart ultrasonic water meters and recommend design modifications, as needed, to make them compatible with the US market standards and specifications. The successful candidate will work closely with the design team and prepare potential markets for the newly designed water meters in the US.

Activities:

-Identify, develop new sales opportunities mainly in the water utility sector, and work with potential distributor(s).
-Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, industry consultants and other market influencers.
-Performs other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.
-Supports and adheres to the company’s core values.
-Create and deliver effective sales presentations.

Qualifications and Skills:

-MUST have a strong knowledge of the US water metering products, standards, required certifications and utility practices.
-5+ years of experience in the water metering industry (technical + sales).
-Previous work/sales experience in RF AMR/AMI utility meter reading systems.
-Strong knowledge of utility market with experience in water sector.
-Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Technical field (Preferred).
-Experience using a CRM such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
-Proficient in multitasking, organizational and time management skills
-Excellent relationship-building skills.
-Ability to work independently without daily supervision, and in a team environment.
-Self-motivated.
-Valid driver’s license.
-A knowledge of US electricity metering products and standards is a plus (Optional).
